A Message from ADA Practice Transitions

We want to reach out to let you know that we at ADA Practice Transitions are here to support you in any way possible during this crisis.

Many of you have questions related to the current issues facing our profession today. The ADA has many resources available that can be found at the ADA Coronavirus Resource Center for Dentists. This page covers topics such as the availability of masks, recommendations on patient care and other relevant concerns facing dentists today. There is also an opportunity to communicate directly with the ADA for additional information.

It is important to us that we alleviate the stress of having any fees associated with the use of our digital platform for at least the next two (2) months.

If you are a current ADAPT participant, we are reducing your monthly fee to $1 and will re-evaluate the situation on a regular basis. We will continue to make suggestions for all of our participants and support your efforts in every way possible. We are even adding another ADAPT staff member to support participants through this important life decision. (Reminder: You need to submit your ADAPT online profile to be eligible to connect with your ADA Advisor and receive suggestions.)

If you have not yet created and/or submitted your ADAPT profile but are interested in participating, we will extend you the same courtesy for at least the next two (2) months as we continue to monitor this situation.

While we have heard from many dentist that they would like to continue moving forward with this service as they find themselves with more free time than normal, we understand that not everyone may feel the same. If you are an ADAPT participant who is feeling overwhelmed by the current state of affairs and would prefer to NOT receive suggestions for matches during this time, we encourage you to tell us. Simply log into your profile and view the match screen, then click the, “I do not wish to receive suggestions at this time” box at the top of the page. When you are ready to begin evaluating candidates again, please remember to log back in and uncheck the box so we can get back to searching on your behalf.

Again, we are with you in spirit during this difficult time. If you need anything at all, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at ADAPT@ada.org.
