What’s your priority?

  • Practicing dentistry how you prefer
  • Growing a practice in an underserved area
  • Working a part-time schedule while making a comfortable living
  • Achieving ideal work-life balance for your family

When you buy this practice, you don’t have to choose — you can have it all! This practice is perfect for someone who wants to make a good living practicing dentistry while having plenty of time for family, activities, and vacations.

The retiring seller says, “I have always enjoyed the freedom of owning my own practice. I have an extremely low overhead which has given me the opportunity to work hard and then to take time off when I wanted. In all of my years of practice, I have never joined a PPO because there have always been enough private patients to keep me as busy as I wanted and needed to be.”

The seller has worked just four half days each week for over 25 years while grossing over $250,000 annually. He has always been fully booked without joining a PPO, and today is the only dentist within 45 miles. The patient base has grown throughout COVID, with enough demand to keep you as busy as you like. Many local employers have asked this practice to join their networks.

The office is located in the heart of a thriving, friendly Main Street in Gordon, Nebraska, with excellent signage and visibility. The 1915 building offers a quaint old-world feel. Above the practice, a lovely apartment can provide additional income or a place to call home. You’ll be close to the town’s pharmacy, local banks, coffee shops, grocery and hardware stores, bowling alley, and insurance agencies. The seller is also offering a vacant lot just a block off Main Street, giving you even more opportunities to expand.

The practice serves many federal, state, and county employees; teachers; and hospital employees who appreciate the quality care and kindness provided by this office. The area is considered underserved, particularly the nearby Pine Ridge Reservation, which could make a buyer eligible for loan repayment opportunities through the National Health Service Corps. Additionally, the state of Nebraska recently increased funding for its loan repayment programs.

Gordon’s main employers include a regional hospital, a farmer’s co-op, Open Range Beef, and the public school system. Chadron State College, a well-respected 4-year state college, is less than an hour away.

In town, you can enjoy several annual festivals, including the Sheridan County Fair that celebrates the local agricultural heritage with 4H exhibits, a rodeo, and live music. In September, the Willow Tree Festival draws people from all over the region, while nearby Rushville hosts an annual Labor Day fair.

Gordon is a great place to raise a family. The seller notes, “We are so thankful to have raised our family here. The school system is excellent, and families look out for one another. There are many activities for kids of all ages. Our children participated in 4H, basketball, golf, track, rodeo and rodeo queen pageants, swim team, trap shooting, martial arts, acting, speech, and so much more.”

Take advantage of the 9-hole golf course, or play Frisbee golf in one of three local parks. Bike or hike on the Cowboy Trail, which passes through town. Hunting (deer, pheasant, grouse, dove, and waterfowl), fishing, hiking, and camping are popular throughout the area!

The Nebraska Sandhills region is extremely safe, with plenty of outdoor recreation at Chadron State Park, Fort Robinson State Park, Shell Lake, Walgren Lake, and others. Angostura Reservoir State Park, Merritt Reservoir State Park, Lake McConaughey, and Lake Ogallala are all within 2-3 hours for boating, camping, and fishing. South Dakota’s beautiful Black Hills are within two hours, as is Rapid City. Denver is about 4.5 hours away.

Check out this small-town practice to enjoy the best of dentistry and a fulfilling life. As the seller says, “The ability to own your own practice and to be the only dentist in town, with a large drawing area, cannot be overstated. I treat all of my patients with great respect and have always let them know that my philosophy is that I am working for them. Practicing in a small town gives you the opportunity to slow down, enjoy your family, and make a very nice living.”
