I am thrilled to be able to touch base with you about our recent trip to ADA Annual Meeting in San Francisco!
The ADA Practice Transitions team was on site and fully engaged with our members in multiple formats during this trip. In addition to a general update about our service, Bill Robinson, our CEO, and I were able to mediate a ‘campfire’ discussion about 5 common myths that we encounter as we work with our platform participants.
We also wanted to take the time to learn what is most important to you as you look at joining or leaving a dental practice. In that vein, we used a whiteboard in our booth to ask dentists what keeps them up at night when considering a practice transition.
We focused on these two questions and discovered that ADA Practice Transitions is doing just what dentists want us to do as they look for solutions!
I really do not need to do much more than show pictures of the responses that we received, so they are below.
We asked owners, “What is most important to you when passing on the legacy of your practice to a new owner?”
Our owners are almost in 100% agreement that they want to have their patients and staff taken care of with a new owner. Some of the comments included:
- Keep the patient happy
- Patients come first
- Treat your patients as you would like to be treated
- Treat patients with the care and respect they deserve
- Take care of my patients and staff
Meanwhile, we asked potential owners, “What are the most important factors when deciding to purchase a practice?”
Our incoming dentists said they wanted to provide quality care in a good location, with the ability to pay back loans. Many also said that they want a good salary and a low-stress environment.
Some of the comments included:
- Location [and “Location, location, location!”]
- Patient base
- Philosophy of care / core values
ADA Practice Transitions is the one transition solution that takes into primary consideration the things that matter most to dentists. Check us out and sign up today!
